Enjoying the wide expansive views of Nelson Bay, an enterprising couple had the impetus to expand their horizons and tackle a major home building project of mammoth proportions.
Glass, space and water views are distinctive features in this opulently designed home built by Port Stephens-based builder Graeme Bakker of Bakker Homes. The family residence looks over Nelson Bay across to Tea Gardens and to Broughton Island, eight nautical miles north-east of Port Stephens and part of the Myall Lakes National Park.
The owners’ brief was to maximise views over the water and create visually appealing and practical, large open spaces with designated living spaces for their young-adult two daughters and son. The home is exemplary in each of these respects. Wherever the eye turns, it is met with stylish contours and elegant details.
‘One Hyde Park’ is the name the owners gave to their new abode, a dream come true as it oozes comfort and flow inspired by the world’s most luxurious and exclusive address of the same name located in London’s Knightsbridge district.
The couple lived at Corlette and simply moved around the corner to their new address. “We watched the nearby land development being created,” they said…
