Live at the Foreshore
Pioneering Australia rock groups and dazzling disco legends will belt out hit after classic hit as part of an impressive line-up headlining this year’s Live at the Foreshore event.
A re-formed Divinyls outfit fronted by founding member, guitarist and co-writer Mark McEntee will honour the music created with the late, great Chrissy Amphlett when they take to the stage at the star-studded concert, which will be held amongst the picturesque surrounds of the Newcastle Foreshore.
Fellow Australian music icons Leo Sayer, Kate Ceberano and Marcia Hines will add a healthy dose of disco and pop beats to the event, while supporting acts will include everyone from Shannon Noll to The Badloves, 1927, Thirsty Merc, Pseudo Echo, Wendy Matthews and Eurogliders.
Chill on a camping chair or spread out on a picnic rug and enjoy the ocean breezes while you listen to some of Australia’s most iconic acts perform their greatest hits.
Immerse yourself in the wonders of the ocean and be mesmerised by some of the world’s most captivating ocean-themed films when the Ocean Film Festival stops off in the Hunter as part of its 29-city national tour.
Designed to mesmerize and enthrall, the Ocean Film Festival World Tour showcases more than two hours of sublime footage taken above and below the water’s surface, with films that document the beauty and power of the ocean, and celebrate the divers, surfers, swimmers and oceanographers who live for the sea’s salt spray.
Heart-stopping shots of surfers riding wild waves and adrenaline-inducing scenes of divers swimming with white sharks will leave audiences on the edges of their seats when the film festival hits the screens at Event Cinemas Glendale and Kotara on March 13 and 14 respectively.
