Run Dungog: untouched magic

3 and 4 August 2019

Run Dungog is a community trail running weekend hosted on the weekend of August 3rd and 4th.
2018 saw the expansion of the Dash n’Dawdle to the Dungog Ultra Trail and introduced the 23 km Fosterton Loop. In 2019, the organizers are adding off-road running to showcase the untouched magic of the Dungog Shire.

Saturday 3rd August will see the 50km and 25km trail events.  These are taking place on land not usually accessible to the public creating a truly spectacular and unique trail event.  Start in the Dungog Common, along dirt roads and private farmland to the summit of Mt Richardson, before returning to the Dungog Common.  These are challenging events, but the scenery will ease the pain of climbing those glorious Dungog hills!  These runs are capped at 100 runners only to provide a unique experience. Hurry and register to secure your place.

Sunday 4th August will see the 5km, 10km and 20km trail events, all within the boundary of the Dungog Common and with no public road running.  With no entry fee for kids under 12, this is a very family focused event – even dogs can take part.  For those who have run the Dungog Common before, you will know it is simply beautiful and a wonderful day out.

Over the Run Dungog weekend, the Common will be the centre of the action.  There will be locally brewed beer, local fresh produce and live music, so if you don’t want to run or walk an event you can pack a picnic, set up for the day and enjoy the festivities.
Please remember this is a not-for-profit event, being organised and managed by volunteers. All proceeds from Run Dungog will be donated to the Dungog Shire Community Centre
