Hunter Polo Challenge

14 – 15 September

The Hunter Polo Challenge is a great family day out at Wirragulla Polo Club ground at Dungog. Enjoy a day of fast, exciting polo, with top players competing and over 200 horses involved in the event. Wirragulla was established in 1923 and is one of the oldest polo clubs still functioning and carrying out tournaments in Australia. The pinnacle of the country polo calendar, this event is the perfect mix of fun and fast country polo in a low-key and relaxed family environment. Qualifying rounds will be held across various grades on Saturday before the highest placed entrants will return to the Tabbil Creek Polo Ground on Sunday in a bid to be crowned the winners for 2019. The Hunter Polo Challenge offers fun for all the family, including Fashions on the Field, kids’ entertainment, gourmet food vendors, a licensed bar – and of course, the time-honoured stomping of the divots! A range of raffles will be held, with all proceeds going to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
