Farming innovations and fun: Tocal Field Days

APRIL 30, MAY 1 & 2 – Experts, animals and innovations in farming will be in the spotlight when the annual Tocal Field Days return to Tocal Agricultural College at the end of April. Known as the Hunter’s premium agricultural event, the event is a proud member of the Association of Agricultural Field Days of Australasia, showcasing the latest products, technologies and information for those involved in the agricultural industry.

A host of demonstrations, workshops and animal displays ensure the field days cater for everyone from full-time agriculturalists to hobby farmers, tree-changers and families. Highlights of this year’s event include the chance to see the future of farming with robotics in the field (Swagbot), and all the latest farm, gardening and outdoor equipment. A great array of plants will be on sale at Tocal Field Day prices. The animal nursery is always a favourite with the kids with the chance to cuddle a baby duckling, get your picture taken with a llama and watch the pigs race to the finish line, while you can join in or watch the free competitions, as people race to build a fire and get their billy boiling first.
