Duke’s Restaurant and Bar
In a venue that has seen the comings and goings of East Maitland since 1837, Roseneath House has begun an exciting new chapter with the arrival of Duke’s Restaurant and Bar. The old Queen Victoria Inn has reinvented herself once again, this time as an elegant eatery run by Tim Duke and Lindsay Ross with contemporary Australian cuisine on the menu.
Dine in the cosy dining room or eat al fresco in the gorgeous courtyard, both are lovely to enjoy perfect pairings and inventive dishes. Start with an oozy crumbed brie with roasted figs and honey or seared scallops with bacon and charred corn. Mains are hearty and warming. Try the warrigal greens ravioli with labna, ricotta and zucchini, comfort food with an indigenous flair. A diner favourite, the snapper fillet red curry with coconut rice is packed with flavour and will warm you to the core.
With its blend of heritage charm and elevated seasonal fare, Duke’s Restaurant and Bar is fast becoming a standout destination in the Hunter dining scene.
Open Tuesday – Saturday for lunch, Thursday – Saturday for dinner.
