Newcastle Racecourse, with Spring racing is heating up at the spotlight now firmly on The Hunter Race Day, Saturday 15 November 2025. The $1 million feature, The Hunter, has quickly become one of NSW’s premier provincial races, attracting top-class horses, trainers and jockeys.
Off the track, racegoers can enjoy premium hospitality, trackside entertainment, and a headline performance from Jon Stevens after the last race.
The season continues with standout events including the NJC Cup for a Cause, 1 November and the Charity Race Day, 20 November, bringing community spirit and festive cheer to the track.
Closing out the year in style, the Boxing Day Races return with a massive program on and off the track, capped by an electric performance from Hot Dub Time Machine, the perfect way to celebrate the holiday season.
