Newcastle: Eat Rascal
What do you get when you cross the ultimate comfort food with a hatted chef? Some of the tastiest, most creative, mouth-watering burgers around. Award-winning chef Tim Montgomery’s return to Newcastle culminated with the opening of Eat Rascal – a fun fast food joint tucked away near Civic Park. Neon signs and a flux of diners flowing in and out at all times of the day is a dead give-away to its location and popularity with hungry Novocastrians.
The focus is on burgers and fried chicken, with a weekly special not to be missed. Go for a classic cheeseburger or BBQ bacon with a super-juicy beef patty, cheese, mustard ketchup and pickles; or try the Milky Joe with fried chicken, jungle curry sauce, pineapple and coconut sambal. Vegos and vegans are well catered for, as are the little rascals, and the venue is licensed so you can wash it all down with a beer.
Eat Rascal has also opened a second location at The Corner in Charlestown Square, making it even easier to get your burger fix. Eat in or pre-order and takeaway.
Open Wed–Sun, 11am–8.30pm.
