The Wickham Boatshed
The marina at Throsby Creek offers one of the best harbourside locations in Newcastle, and The Wickham Boatshed takes full advantage of the prime position.
Pop in for a relaxing breakfast, a quick coffee or homemade muffin or stay for a longer lunch and savour the seasonal menu that showcases local suppliers and produce. Popular breakfast standards sit alongside new favourites like the mushroom bruschetta with sautéed wild mushrooms, pine nuts, charred silverbeet, local Binnorie feta and poached eggs on sourdough.
The corn fritters with bacon, avocado, creme fraiche, salsa romesco and chilli jam are well worth a try too. Lunch on fried squid with chilli jam; out-of-the-square burgers; tender dukkahdusted lamb or hot and crispy fish and chips. Take laidback dining to the next level and enjoy a chilled glass of local wine with your meal.
Open Monday to Sunday 6.30am to 2pm; look out for evening events.
