This was the case for an East Maitland homeowner who walked and drove by such a residence on a daily basis for eight years to and from his nearby home down the hill. “I always admired this home,” said Grant. “It had a real style, with beautiful established lawns and gardens set in a peaceful bushland setting. I thought to myself that one day I would love to live there.
“Once the ‘for sale’ sign came on the property, I wanted to have a look inside. Initially my wife, Leanne, wasn’t quite as smitten as I was, but I could see its potential as a family home.”
The deal was done and the couple put aside their future plans to build on a two-acre block they had purchased in a street nearby, deciding to renovate instead…
