Certain homes create a real presence in the neighbourhood and this is one of those homes, situated in one of the most popular established estates at Bolwarra Heights.

You could be forgiven imagining you were living on a country estate by the picturesque setting, as this private and secluded 2,317 square-metre (3/4 acre) garden oasis is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac bordered by stately Spartan conifers and established plantings.

The owners, Doug and Jenny, built and created this home shortly after returning to Australia after working and living in an apartment in Portland, Oregon.

“We always said that once we returned to Australia we wanted a home surrounded by beautiful gardens, with open space to enjoy the outdoors,” said Doug.
