One of a Kind

Downsizing need not be a compromise in your lifestyle, in fact, you can enjoy life to the fullest by making the right decisions as to where you live, and selecting the home style to suit you in future years.

After moving from their sprawling home on acreage in the Maitland district, Bob and Leanne searched for a possible home site which would offer similar surroundings, a view, yet not too surrounded by a neighbourhood.

After searching, they found the perfect block at The Vintage Estate at Rothbury and amazingly it had strong family connections for Leanne. “My grandparents once owned a dairy farm right where The Vintage is located, some sixty years ago,” revealed Leanne, “so I feel I have come home.”

The block had views across to the golf course separated by a natural water course similar to a wetlands, which offered the view yet the distance they wanted to create a quiet environment.

After selling their property, the couple rented at The Vintage and commenced the building process.  “We had a design concept which we took to Martin Building Services and were very impressed with their philosophy, as we wanted an old-fashioned style builder,” said Bob. “It was important to know that their building supervisor was on the job full time to oversee work and be able to make decisions on the spot if anything had to change or be discussed with us.”
