Dylan Walsh winner

Dylan Walsh is the Founder and Principal Designer at Dylan Walsh Custom Furniture and Design in the Hunter Valley. He is a passionate designer and maker of quality bespoke handcrafted furniture, made from a range of beautiful Australian and exotic cabinet timbers. After an  apprenticeship with Bessant Custom Furniture, Dylan joined the NSW Police Force, but his love for design brought him back to his trade.
When he collaborated with Victoria Beresford, the Founder and Director of Ergomazing, in 2016, they won the President’s Award in the Cabinet Makers and Designers Association awards program. During the latter half of that year, Victoria and Dylan began brainstorming ideas for an  ergonomically sound stand-up desk that people would also be proud to have in their home office. Their aim was to produce a piece of
furniture never seen in Australia before, with the highest quality of craftsmanship. Yet again, their collaboration produced stellar results, winning the FIAA/AWISA award for Best Free Standing Furniture at this year’s FIAA Industry Awards. “The RadiusNine is the first desk we created for our Office Collection, and I’m really proud of the design,” Dylan said. “It was a combined effort from my workshop, and my whole team got behind the project. We decided to incorporate a range of bespoke options, so our customers could be part of our design team and build something very personal for their home or office.”
