Autoimmune Resource and Research Centre celebrates 30 years with a Twilight Canape event
Local not for profit charity the Autoimmune Resource and Research Centre held a lively and fun evening to acknowledge the important work of the centre over the past 30 years. The evening was filled with great food and music provided by local guitarist Michael Mills. Kirsty Grant bravely told her story of experiencing autoimmune illness and the issues she faces on a daily basis. Kirsty also spoke about the importance of ongoing education, support and research. The evening closed with the cutting of a cake creation by Penny Murray that used the Centres Australiana theme as inspiration and the motto, “NO-one is (Emu)ne to autoimmunity”.
