Cessnock Senior Citizens Association

If you are living in the Cessnock area, are retired or semi-retired, looking for social contacts or just want to have a bit of fun, the Cessnock Senior Citizens Association (CSCA) could be just what you are looking for. There is a range of social events and activities to suit all tastes. CSCA is one of Cessnock’s oldest community groups with a history dating back some 80 years. While always respecting its many past achievements, today CSCA has re-vitalised it’s programs and activities to appeal to the interests of the community generally and particularly to senior citizens. At meetings, topics of interest to members are discussed, and invited guests speak on a wide variety of subjects. Trips, outings and activities are planned – some locally and some further away by bus (as far as Sydney). Meetings conclude with a light lunch on the premises provided by the Association’s kitchen staff. The Cessnock Seniors Choir consists of volunteers drawn from members of the Association who enjoy singing, like to participate in community programs and have some fun. The Choir performs publicly in various locations giving some 30 performances each year.
