Slumber choices
With a mantra of keeping it simple and smart, visitors to Newcastle will be offered more where it matters most by the city’s newest hotel, Holiday Inn Express Newcastle.
The four-star, 170-room hotel is located in the heart of Newcastle’s commercial precinct on King Street, and is the fourth Holiday Inn Express to open in Australia following the launch of their Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide properties. Guests are wooed with a range of extras that form part of the Holiday Inn experience, including fast check-in, a free Express Start Breakfast and free high-speed Wi-fi, while comfy beds with high quality bedding and a choice of firm or soft pillows in your room ensure that every stay is just right. The hotel’s striking interior, designed by world renowned architect Joseph Pang, is also sure to make an impression on guests, with its pops of colour and urban styling, while the rich tones of natural timbers add warmth and texture to the space.
While Holiday Inn Express may be Newcastle’s newest accommodation option, it won’t be the only new provider on the block, with a number of other luxury hotel and serviced apartment developments in the pipeline for the cosmopolitan coastal city. This includes the city’s first fivestar offering, the Kingsley, which will be built by Crystalbrook Collection Hotels & Resorts in the iconic “Roundhouse” Council Administration Centre following the City of Newcastle’s planned relocation to a new office building in Newcastle West in October.
