Circus Oz return to The Art House Wyong with a jaw-dropping new show
April 4, 5 and 6
Australia’s iconic Circus Oz are back with their unique brand of quirky and energetic circus stunts this April. Set in a winter wonderland, Aurora stays true to the Circus Oz riotous style of acrobatics, with original music from their live band, and oddball humour from characters the whole family will love.
In the world of Aurora, the ice caps are melting, and all Polar Bear wants to do is get home and have fresh penguin for lunch! Will she make it in time? Audiences are met with the adorable antics of a troupe of silly penguins as they ice-slide and fly high through the air on trapeze. Polar Bear sings, foot-juggles and climbs her way to impossible heights, while an acrobat head-balances precariously upside down, suspended over an ominous vat of toxic waste.
Founded in 1978, Circus Oz have become known for their blending of traditional circus with elements of popular theatre, satire, and rock’n’roll to become one of Australia’s most loved performance groups.
As with most Circus Oz shows, it’s not just about the tricks and stunts but conveying a message of humanity. Beneath the loveable artic characters of Aurora is a story of hope for the environment, all jam packed into 70 minutes of live entertainment.
Circus Oz captivated Central Coast audiences last time they visited The Art House in 2017, selling out their show Model Citizens.
