“It gets the blood pumping and the brain working,” laughs Jane. “It’s a great team building exercise, it boosts creativity and we come to the office full of energy for the working day ahead.”

It’s but one of many indicators that Jane isn’t your average real estate agent. A natural entrepreneur, she didn’t enjoy her first sales job in real estate. “It just wasn’t right for me,” she says. “I can’t help but be upfront and honest and would always tell my clients about any issues with a property – even if it meant losing a sale. But I love property management because it’s about dealing with people, about empathy and problem solving.”

So when she was ready to launch her own agency in 2014, the management of investment properties became a natural focus of the business.
Today, six years and hundreds of happy tenants and property owners later, BonVilla Property is a leading property management company in Newcastle, specialising in premium properties.
