Cessnock- Kids Mountainbike Academy
In partnership with CBC Hunter Plant Operator Training School (HPOTS), Cessnock Bicycle Company have launched their Kids Ride Mountainbikes initiative, enabling local children from six to 10 years of age to learn correct riding techniques and to enjoy cycling as an organised sport.
The free events will run on the last Saturday of each month, from 2pm to 4pm on the grounds of the HPOTS school in Cessnock. “This Kids Academy is the missing link in our community cycling opportunities,” explained CBC owner Steve Whitby.
“Thanks to the generosity of HPOTS, we are now able to teach the children in our community the safe riding skills they need to enjoy mountainbiking.”
“HPOTS is so grateful to support this program. We love to see kids out in the fresh air, with happy faces, having fun,” said Bronwyn Musgrove, Manager, Hunter Plant Operator Training School. “There is not a better way to enjoy and grow bicycle skills for kids.”
