Newcastle Ramblers

The Newcastle Ramblers Bushwalking Club was established in 1961. It is affiliated with Bushwalking NSW Inc and adheres to their Code of Ethics pledging minimal environmental impact.

The Club promotes and organises outdoor pursuits such as bushwalking (day, overnight and twilight), camping, including car camping, kayaking, pack-rafting and cycling for a range of ages, fitness levels and interests.

Activities are graded, catering for those interested in more extreme activities or just a gentle stroll, ride or paddle. The Club runs activities locally, throughout NSW, interstate and in New Zealand so there is a lot on offer.

Safety is prioritised on all activities and the Club requires its leaders to implement a strong risk management policy.

Newcastle Ramblers run annual first aid, map and compass skills courses as well as a range of information and skill-based presentations at their club meetings, which are held at Charlestown Uniting Church Hall.
Club members are always willing to offer advice and speak with anyone who is interested in joining the Club and learning about their activities.
