Golden jubilee – Winmark’s Chardonnay 72

Winmark Wines can look back on a rich viticultural history, dating back to 1972 when the first vines were planted with Penfolds clones on its Block 4 vineyard. The first release of Winmark Chardonnay 72 honours the 50th anniversary of that first planting.

Having already won accolades for their Chardonnays, Winmark promises to take things to the next level with this single-vineyard, small batch Chardonnay that will only be produced in years of outstanding vintage quality.

Hand harvested, it has rested for 11 months in Marcel Cadet French Oak barrels. Winmark winemaker John Belsham expects this pure and inviting wine to mature gracefully, yet to never lose form. Enjoy now or cellar with confidence for 8-10 years.

RRP $89; Chardonnay 72 is available at Winmark’s cellar door on Wollombi Road in Broke, or online at winmarkwines.com.au.
