Flagship shiraz – Gundog Estate special release
Nominated in 2021 as a finalist for Gourmet Traveller’s Australian Winemaker of the Year, Gundog Estate owner and winemaker Matt Burton has created an eponoymous release of M Burton as a celebration of 20 years in the wine industry. Said Burton, “this release brings together the experiences, philosophies and values that have shaped my craft over the last two decades into what I believe to be my most creative winemaking expression so far.”
The M Burton Shiraz breaks through the boundaries set by a single season, with a blend of grapes from the 2018 and 2019 vintages. Using four individual components in the blend, the result is a bold, charismatic wine with a tapestry of layered aromas, flavours and textures.
With just 650 bottles made of this exceptional flagship wine, The M Burton Shiraz will benefit from cellaring.
For every bottle sold, Gundog Estate will plant a tree with their sustainability partners 15 Trees and $5 will be donated to Path 2 Change to support disadvantaged and homeless youth.
