Central Coast – Let’s get clogging
Clogging is a cross between Irish, tap and line dancing. Dancers learn the steps which are then ‘cued’ to them, so they don’t have to remember an entire routine, making it easy to participate in a range of dances. It is a great activity for both body and mind where dancers can put in as much or as little energy as they like in any given class.
Coastal Cowboys Cloggers are the local group on the Central Coast. Dancing at Wyoming and Tuggerah, they have been operating for over 30 years with cloggers currently dancing from around 15 through to 85 years old.
Their focus is on a fun and inclusive group with social nights, including ‘soup nights’ and ‘pancake suppers’, for fun times throughout the year.
Instructors Jason and Leanne Nicholson are both recognised as Gold accredited teachers with the Australian Clogging Association and are both association Hall of Fame members, which recognises their ongoing commitment to clogging in Australia.
