Newcastle – The Lost Souls
This quirky new offering on Newcastle’s bustling Darby Street combines cob loaves and cocktails in a space featuring a mind blowingly eclectic mix of second hand furniture. It’s a welcoming place, perfect for a leisurely lunch with a side of people watching, a fun dinner with friends or to satisfy those later-in-the night cravings.
The cob loaves come with a variety of regularly changing fillings, from spinach and eggplant cacciatore to beef lasagne or bacon mushroom carbonara. Large mains include lamb backstrap, charred eggplant and buttermilk fried chicken. Or try the glazed fried cauliflower or savoury donuts from the small shares menu.
The cocktail list keeps changing and features seasonal influences and unusual flavours as well as classic cocktails with a spin and non-alcoholic options. Make sure to try the popular zero-alcohol Ginger Mojito. For an extra hit of caffeine, Smiling Monk Coffee is available all night.
Open Wednesday and Thursday, 4pm till late, Frida and Saturday, noon till late.
