Lake Macquarie Running Festival

25 August | 2024 marks 40 years of this iconic running festival around scenic Lake Macquarie, a testament to its enduring appeal.

The well-known event has been in action since 1984 and is one of the longest-running events in New South Wales. With beautiful views of the lake, the multi-loop course is mostly flat, free of traffic, and perfect for PB times.

All runs follow the picturesque foreshore of Lake Macquarie starting and finishing at Warners Bay. Events to choose from include a 21.1km Half Marathon, 10.5km Fun Run and 4km Family Scamper. A great day out for the whole family, there will be free jumping castles, face painting, and entertainment to enjoy, making it an unforgettable experience for all ages.
