A slice of paradise

This spectacular work of architecture celebrates the Hawkesbury River frontage with floor to ceiling glass windows and expansive timber decks offering uninterrupted water and bush views.

It’s easy to fall for this breathtaking property with its expansive views over the Hawkesbury River and Mooney Mooney Bay.

Owner Keri Lockwood, who previously lived in Sydney, had never considered living in Mooney Mooney prior to buying the property. She said it was the spectacular nature of the home that led her to settle in the area. Since then, she has fallen for the welcoming community as well.

“It’s just the most beautiful house to live in,” she said.

“It’s got a really nice feel about it, there’s a beautiful ambiance and it’s got a bit of a reputation in Mooney”.

The home was designed by award-winning architect Noel Blaess and Kerri said as well as the design she also loves the craftsmanship of the home which is “really well made and built on a steel frame”.

One of its most striking features is the soaring floor to ceiling, five metre high curved glass windows that frame the spectacular 270-degree river views. The design means the views are always visible from the open plan living areas. If you want to feel even closer to the water, step outside onto the generously sized timber deck that’s just perfect for entertaining with more uninterrupted views.

“It’s certainly got the wow factor,” Keri said. As does the show stopping steel iron spiral staircase through the centre of the home, which forms a striking contrasting against the warm hardwood floors and timber ceilings.
