Grip it and rip it

Entertainment mecca serves up feel-good vibes.

When life gives you a chance, sometimes you just have to “grip it and rip it”.

That’s what John Schneider and Aaron Spalding did when they opened Newcastle’s “number one active-tainment venue”, Rippit Golf, in Broadmeadow in late 2022.

Since then, the venue has become a premier destination for all things golf and exceptional food and drink with a charitable twist.

Rippit Golf caters for all ages and abilities, boasting an 18-hole mini golf course; world-class simulators, each fitted with cameras to track, analyse and perfect your swing; and a driving range with launch monitors that give real-time feedback.

Once you’ve ironed out your slice on the green, you can enjoy the pizza variety at the Tap Inn bistro alongside craft beer, Hunter Valley wines and cocktails by Earp Distilling Co.

“We cater for everyone, from pro golfers to couples on a date night,” Operations Manager Mark Forster said.

“People come in to have fun and enjoy golf, sometimes for the first time, in a relaxed, stress-free environment, no matter what level you’re at.”

The venue spreads joy to the wider community through partnerships with local charities, such as the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, Ronald McDonald House, Mark Hughes Foundation and Canteen.

To date, Rippit Golf has donated more than $150,000 to local charities, schools and sporting clubs.

“I’ve always said, ‘If you look after Newcastle, Newcastle will look after you’,” Mark added.

This summer, Rippit Golf will launch its membership program, Play It Forward, where members can give back to local organisations with every dollar spent.

Rippit Golf is open seven days a week, 8am – 10pm at 20 Curley Road, Broadmeadow. Visit rippitgolf.com.au for more info and bookings.
