A legacy of luxury
Become part of Morpeth’s history with a beautiful home at this unique and sophisticated development.
Every aspect of the Foundry Terrace development on Swan Street in Morpeth blends modern luxury living with characterful heritage style.
Developer GHT Holdings, owned by the Lincoln family, are a seventh-generation enterprise based in the Morpeth area for over 40 years.
While they are known for projects like Walka Grange Lifestyle Village and Newcastle student accommodations, the GHT Holdings team are keen to bring this local project to life.
“It is a privilege to work on such a unique heritage development,” Chris Lincoln said.
“There are hardly any new builds like this in Morpeth because of the historical nature of the area, so this is a rare opportunity.”

The name of the boutique development reflects the site’s history from the days when Morpeth was a major river port in the 1800s.
There was a successful iron and brass foundry at this location owned by the Sims family until the 1920s.
Some of their metalwork still remains in the town as a testament to their enduring craftsmanship.
Architect Adrian Slemakh, who also has multi-generational ties to the Maitland area, said that ensuring the design was sympathetic with Morpeth’s rich history was an important part of the brief.
“We wanted the style of the terraces to reflect the existing architecture of Swan Street while also ensuring the size and layout of each home was comfortable and spacious,” Adrian said.
“We worked with a heritage consultant and the local council to achieve the best of both worlds.”

The thoughtfully selected interior design elements were curated by Arna Slemakh to reflect the heritage of the site.
Warm timbers complement stone benchtops, while high-end appliances and smart home integration blend with antique brass details for refined styling.
Interest in the development has been strong, according to Chad Buckley from River Realty.

“This luxury and low-maintenance development makes these 10 beautiful homes in historic Morpeth incredibly sought after by a wide demographic,” Chad said.
“The Foundry Terraces are unlike anything the Lower Hunter has ever seen before or will again. They are remarkable.”
